Tiger takes a dive
Admittance of guilt? NoFall of an empire? Doubtful
Transgression? Transgression? Wow – cheating on your wife, having sex outside the boundaries of matrimonial home is a transgression...I never knew that
A few months ago (scroll down...way down) I took shots at Tiger Woods. I didn't really castigate him, merely said he's overdone. He's a golf God and a freak rolled up into one massive billboard.
Almost a week ago Tiger made news for something off the course – probably the second or third time in his life he has done so.
First, his father Earl's demise and subsequent death.
Second, his marriage to the supermodel
Thirdly his apology for having transgressed.
Hmmmmm, makes ya wonder. Standford educated and dumb as a brick. I have to think the University might be looking to distance themselves for a while.
Tigers screwed up and we all know about it, but I can bet that by next spring's Masters, no one will be talking about this.
Has our society become so enamoured with it's icons that we are willing to just ignore this bevaiour? Well, yes we have, or shall I say we always have been.

Bill Clinton
Tiger – All marital fuck ups and all legends....legends then and legends now.
What takes us and whacks us over the head and tells us that sleeping with a Las Vegas showgirl, turned diner waitress while married to a supermodel who just happens to be the women you told a crowd that you would honour and obey and yadda yadda who also just happens to be the mother of your child is an alright thing to do?
Frankly, I don't really care if Tiger was sleeping with Babe Ruth or this waitress, my opinion of Tiger remains unchanged. I never liked him then and now I like him less.
